He's a stray, he turned up at our house over night and hasn't left yet.
He has long legs, soft dark brown fur, and big shiny eyes.
Oh, and he's about 6 inches wide!
(Any advice on removing a very large spider from inside a house will be highly welcomed. Failing that, I'll also be accepting good pet name suggestions)

too scary for words! and you seem so calm and brave about it! i was bit by a brown recluse in the fifth grade and have been absolutely loopy about spiders ever since - starting to feel short of breath just looking at the pic. yikes.
It wasn't too bad when we could see him and knew where he was, but today he's not in the sopt he was yesterday. eeeeeeeek. Now I'm freaking a bit about where he could be...
On the underside of my table? In a shoe? Hoepfully back where he came from.

i don't mind spiders that's aren't big and hairy.
i too was bit in college by a brown recluse (they run rampant in southern indiana) and in 2 days it was killing my muscle tissue, it was pretty gross.
